Ivy Academy Co-op Code of Conduct
At Ivy Academy Co-op, we are committed to creating a safe, respectful, inclusive, and inspiring learning environment for all families and educators. To ensure a positive experience for everyone, all members—students, parents, guardians, and volunteers—are expected to adhere to the following Code of Conduct:
1. Respect and Inclusion
- Treat all members of the community—children, parents, and educators—with kindness, dignity, and respect.
- Honor the diversity of our co-op by embracing differences in race, culture, religion, abilities, and family structure.
- Engage in respectful dialogue and avoid gossip, bullying, or discrimination of any kind.
2. Safety and Supervision
- The safety of our members is our highest priority. Any behavior, item, or action that poses a threat to the physical or emotional well-being of others is strictly prohibited and grounds for immediate removal.
- Parents/guardians are responsible for the supervision and behavior of their children at all times unless otherwise arranged with a designated teacher or staff member.
- Children must stay in designated areas during co-op hours and must be signed in and out as required.
3. Positive Behavior and Discipline
- Children are expected to follow directions, participate cooperatively, and treat others with kindness.
- Parents and staff will work together to resolve behavior challenges. Repeated or serious behavior issues may result in temporary or permanent dismissal.
4. Participation and Responsibility
- Members are expected to contribute to the co-op’s success through active participation, punctuality, and fulfillment of assigned duties or roles.
- Notify leadership if you are unable to attend or fulfill a responsibility.
5. Membership and Dismissal
- Membership in Ivy Academy Co-op is a privilege and may be revoked at any time at the discretion of the leadership team.
- Any violations of this Code of Conduct may result in disciplinary action, including temporary suspension or permanent removal from the co-op.
